🪭 W ramach IV edycji Festiwalu Sakura zapraszamy na spektakl Studia Kokyu pt. „Próby o końcu wojny” na podstawie „Antygony” Sofoklesa.

W ramach projektu “Praktykowanie działania” zespół Studia Kokyu od grudnia 2024 roku pracował nad tematem pierwszego dnia po zakończeniu wojny.
Punktem wyjścia do pracy była “Antygona”, antyczna tragedia Sofoklesa, akcja której zaczyna się w pierwszym dniu po wojnie, oraz tragedia Eurypidesa “Fenicjanki” opisująca już przebieg samej wojny (w Tebach). Ostatecznie jednak skupiliśmy się w głównej mierze na pierwszych chwilach pokoju – one najbardziej przykuły naszą uwagę i zabrały w badania nad współczesnym wymiarem mitu tebańskiego. Jakimi cechami przemawia on do nas dziś, co możemy w nim dla siebie usłyszeć, jak się w nim przejrzeć? Dziś, 80 lat po zakończeniu II wojny światowej, wsłuchując się w echa bomb wybuchających na terytorium naszego sąsiada, śledząc wieści z konfliktów trwających na całym świcie, zastanawiamy się nad pierwszym dniem pokoju. Jednocześnie tęskniąc za nim i obawiając się czy może to być dzień szczęśliwy. Wierzymy głęboko, że mimo nastrojów jest to dzień potrzebny, nieunikniony, konieczny, nie mniej przeogromnie trudny, kruchy i skomplikowany.
Chcemy zaprosić do wspólnej podróży do serca antycznego mitu, aby spotkać się z pytaniami, które udało nam się wysłyszeć w antycznym tekście.

As part of the Practicing Action project, the Studio Kokyu ensemble has been working since December 2024 on the theme of the first day after the end of a war.
The starting point for this work was Antigone, the ancient tragedy by Sophocles, which begins on the first day after a war, as well as Euripides’ The Phoenician Women, which describes the course of the war itself (in Thebes). However, we ultimately focused primarily on the first moments of peace—those were the ones that captivated us the most and led us to explore the contemporary dimension of the Theban myth. What qualities of this myth still speak to us today? What can we hear in it? How do we see ourselves reflected in it?
Today, 80 years after the end of World War II, as we listen to the echoes of bombs exploding in our neighboring country and follow reports of conflicts raging around the world, we ask ourselves: what will the first day of peace be like? At the same time, we long for it, yet fear whether it can truly be a happy day. We deeply believe that, despite the prevailing uncertainty, this day is necessary, inevitable, and essential—yet also immensely difficult, fragile, and complex.
We invite you on a journey to the heart of the ancient myth, to engage with the questions we have uncovered within its text.
